| Branch Breakfast is still the best deal in town Adults $5.00 each, Children 6-12 yrs $3.00; Children 5 and below are free. Join your fellow shipmates for good food and fellowship. Next breakfast is Sunday,MARCH 28, 2010 at 0830 to 1100 hours.
A policy has been established where in the Sunday breakfast will be served FREE to active duty branch members and their immediate family (living in the same household). In the event that an active duty member is forward deployed or serving overseas the breakfast will be FREE to the spouse and children of that member. |

| Parking lot improvement, Branch home |

| Parking lot improvement work is tentatively scheduled from 12 April to 30 April,2010. Access to the lot will be limited durning this time. The contractor will require excessive space for equipment and laydown area for materials. PLEASE have patience. This is a large and worthwhile project that will have long range benefits to all branch members. |

| Recycle Empty Cartridges for Laser Jet Printers |

| Shipmates,UPDATE,on the branch empty Inkjet/LaserJet cartridge recycling program. With just two shipments of cartridges the branch has received $78.00. This is just two small shipments of cartridges sent back to the recycling center. I urge all shipmates to support this programs and help the branch receive funds to support the many programs that Branch 99 supports.
The Branch is collecting used empty print cartridges for Ink Jet Printers and Laser Jet Printers and copiers. We need your Xerox, Cannon, Sharp, Hewlett Packard, Toshiba, Minolta, Lexmark and most other copier printer, laser, injet, fax, toner cartridges and New Surplus Supplies. Drop off you empty/unused cartridges at the Branch Home on 357 Edwin Drive Virginia Beach, VA. If you are unable to drop off the cartridges and live in the local area, contact the Branch and arrangements will be made to pick up your cartridges. | KEMPSVILLE BRANCH 99 ELECTION OF OFFICERS AND BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Shipmates, the Nominating Committee of Kempsville Branch 99 will be soliciting nominations for election of Branch Officers and Board of Directors during the General Assembly meeting in April with Elections being held in May.
All positions are open this year except the position of Secretary.
I ask that all members consider running for office as there are many qualified and dedicated shipmates in Kempsville Branch 99. WE NEED YOUR LEADERSHIP FOR THE NEXT ASSOCIATION YEAR.
A member may not serve as a member of both the Branch Board and the Corporation Board at the same time. A member who is currently on either board may accept a nomination to another board, and if elected, shall as a pre-requisite to, and prior to being installed as a member of the said board, resign his/her current board position.
NOMINATION FORMS WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE APRIL GENERAL ASSEMBLY.

In a program initiated by our Branch President, Charlie Baldwin, local
Restaurants are providing donations of dinner meal gift certificates to encourage
attendance at Branch General Membership meetings. These certificates are
